Many of the sites are well shaded and we'll maintained. The sites are comfortably large. It is just minutes outside of Kickapoo which has several great restaurants and a winery. A little further and you are in Peoria with tons of shopping, dining, and entertainment offerings.
Worst state park we've ever visited. Very difficult to navigate, no maps available, very deserted even on Labor day. Grass hadn't been mowed in awhile, picnic tables in the parking lots, really creepy.
We love camping at Jubilee. Each loop seems the have it's own personality. Loop A, which has some great spots, is primarily family. Loop B tends to be more families and the rowdier crowd, Loop C tends to be older adults and much quieter. There is a nice playground in Loop B, just a short walk from Loop A. There are many vault style restrooms scattered around each loop. There are showers and flush toilets available just across the road from Loop B.
Great quiet park. Beautiful! Over 100 miles of trails (includes horse trails) Historic college is still standing.
An interesting set of trails to hike, bike, or ride your horse. I saw things on these trails that I haven't seen at other trail systems in the area.
This park needs some TLC. I assume it is due to the constant budget issues in Springfield. Many of the restrooms don't lock and some won't even close. The shower house and restrooms are in need of a good cleaning.
Great Campground amid the beauty of natural prairie. Only thing missing is a place to go boating and swimming.
